The meeting will be open house format with a presentation at 7:00pm.

An online survey to solicit additional feedback will also be posted to the City website following the meeting.

Hoboken Community Invited to Public Workshop For Sinatra Drive Redesign

The City of Hoboken has hired Kimley Horn to conduct a public planning process for a “complete streets” redesign of Sinatra Drive from 4th Street to 11th Street. The first public workshop will take place on Thursday, May 15 from 7pm to 9pm at the Multi Service Center, located at 124 Grand Street.

A scenic waterfront corridor with magnificent views of the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline, Frank Sinatra Drive remains the only unfinished portion of Hoboken’s re-envisioned and revitalized waterfront. The City wishes to apply its “Complete Streets” policy to create a safe street that can be enjoyed by all Hoboken residents—including children, families, older adults, and people with disabilities—for walking, running, biking, and driving. The street also will incorporate “Green Streets” elements such as rain gardens to reduce stormwater run-off and flooding.

Community Invited to Public Meeting for Hoboken Cove Boathouse

Over the next several months, Marvel Architects will be working with the City of Hoboken and the Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse Group to develop a program and schematic design for a new boathouse to be located on Hoboken/Weehawken Cove at the north end of Hoboken’s waterfront. The public is invited to participate in this design process.

The underlying goal of the boathouse is to provide water access and engagement through community non-motorized boating activities and educational events. The next step is to get the public’s input on the program of spaces required to support this goal and better define the activities that the boathouse should be designed to support.

Please join us for a community workshop on Monday, May 12th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the community room in the Multi-Service Center located at 124 Grand Street.

We look forward to working with the community to create a new recreational and educational amenity on Hoboken’s waterfront.
